If you’ve ever dreamed of flying an airplane but don’t know where to start, a demonstration flight—also known as a discovery or intro flight—is the perfect first step. This hands-on experience allows you to get a feel for what flight training is like, without any long-term commitment.
What Happens During a Demonstration Flight?
Before takeoff, you’ll receive a brief ground lesson with a certified flight instructor. They’ll walk you through the basic parts of the aircraft, safety procedures, and what to expect during the flight. Once in the air, the instructor may even let you take the controls for a bit under close supervision.
The entire flight usually lasts 30 to 60 minutes, taking you on a scenic route near the airport. At The Pilot Studio, our demo flights depart from Isla Grande Airport in San Juan, offering stunning views of Old San Juan and the Atlantic Ocean.
